WallBoard
Coordinate open work by status, priority, and crew responsibility.
Use WallBoard when you want a visual view of active work. It helps managers and crew leads see what is waiting, what is underway, what needs review, and what is done.
When to use WallBoard
Use WallBoard for:
- morning crew planning
- checking blocked or urgent work
- moving jobs through the day
- reviewing completed work before closing
- keeping managers and operators aligned
Use Work when you need a detailed list, filters, search, or bulk review.
Board columns
WallBoard uses five columns. Work items can have different status labels depending on type (for example incidents show Reported or Resolved instead of To Do or Done). FarmFusion places each card in the column that matches where the job is in its workflow.
| Column | Statuses that appear here |
|---|---|
| To Do | To Do, Reported |
| Scheduled | Scheduled, Assessing |
| In Progress | In Progress, Responding |
| Review | Review |
| Done | Done, Resolved |
Most work types follow To Do → Scheduled → In Progress → Review → Done. Incidents follow Reported → Assessing → Responding → Review → Resolved, but still use the same five WallBoard columns above. See Work item map for the full picture.
Before you start
Make sure your open work items have clear titles, useful due dates, and assignees where needed. WallBoard is only as useful as the work items feeding it.
Daily flow
- Open Operations -> WallBoard.
- Scan each column for overdue, urgent, blocked, or unassigned work.
- Open a card to review notes, links, parcels, assets, or work logs.
- Move cards as work starts, waits for review, or finishes.
- Close the day by checking that completed jobs have useful work logs.
What good looks like
A healthy WallBoard shows a realistic amount of open work. The crew can tell what to start next, managers can see what is stuck, and completed jobs have enough detail to support reports later.
Common issues
A card is in the wrong place. Open it and choose one of the available status actions.
A card is missing. Check Work filters, due date, assignee, and whether the item is already closed.
Too many cards are open. Close duplicates, cancel stale jobs, and split large jobs into clearer work items.
