Work item map
See the default work categories and status paths FarmFusion uses.
This page shows the default work setup FarmFusion starts from. Your farm may use different labels over time. When you are signed in, open Work item map in the app to see your farm's current setup.
How FarmFusion organizes work
Program -> contains -> Work items -> records -> Work logsProgram: groups related jobs (for example Planting 2026). It is not a job itself.
Work item: one job someone can own, with a type, status, assignee, and due date.
Work log: hours, acres, or notes recorded as evidence on that job. It is not a separate item on Work or WallBoard.

Where jobs come from
FarmFusion creates work items from sources such as:
- Season plan
- Maintenance schedule
- Scouting follow-up
- Inventory alerts
- Manual creation
Inside a work item, you usually connect:
- Parcel or field
- Asset or equipment
- Assignee
- SOP or checklist
- Related work items
- Work logs and photos

How most work moves
To Do → Scheduled → In Progress → Review → Done
Used by: Field Operation, Maintenance, Supplies, Transport, Inspection, and General Task
Incident response
Reported → Assessing → Responding → Review → Resolved
On WallBoard, incident statuses map into the same five columns as other work (for example Reported appears in To Do, Resolved in Done).
Finishing or stopping work
| Choice | What it means |
|---|---|
| Complete | Work finished |
| Skip | Work intentionally passed over |
| Cancel | Work will no longer happen |
| Not needed | The job became unnecessary |
| Duplicate | Another job already covers it |
| Replaced | A newer job takes its place |
Complete normally needs no explanation. Other closing choices require a comment so your farm keeps a useful record.

Work and WallBoard
These are two views over the same work items:
- Work is the main list for filtering by type, status, assignee, and due date.
- WallBoard shows those same jobs in status columns so your team can move work forward visually.
