Daily farm operations
A practical rhythm for mornings, field work, and end-of-day wrap-up.
This guide describes a simple daily loop many farms use in FarmFusion. Adapt it to your crew size and season.
Morning (15 minutes)
- Scan Work for overdue or due-today items.
- On Today, review active Programs when seasonal work is underway.
- Check WallBoard for blocked or in-review jobs.
- Confirm assignments and priorities with the crew lead.
During the day
- Move work items to In progress when someone starts.
- Log scouting or incidents while context is fresh.
- Link parcels and assets on new work so history stays traceable.
End of day
- Log work on completed items (hours, acres, notes).
- Reschedule unfinished jobs with a realistic due date.
- Flag maintenance or inventory issues as new work items if needed.
Keep it light
Consistent small updates beat perfect data entry once a week. Train operators to log work the same day it happens.
Common issues
Morning planning takes too long. Filter to due-today and overdue work first. Save deeper cleanup for later.
People forget to close work. End each day by checking WallBoard and adding work logs to completed jobs.
New issues come up during the day. Create a work item while context is fresh, then assign it later if needed.
