Maintenance in FarmFusion connects schedules, work items, and assets. The schedule defines the interval; FarmFusion generates actionable work items when service is due.
When to use Maintenance
Use Maintenance for service, repair, inspections, and upkeep tied to equipment or facilities. It is most useful when the job should be assigned, tracked, and recorded against an asset.
Before you start
Add the asset first. If the job repeats, set up the schedule before the next service window. For one-time repairs, create a work item and link the asset.
Typical flow
- Define a maintenance schedule on an asset (hours, calendar interval, or custom cycle).
- When due, FarmFusion creates a maintenance task work item.
- Assign the task, complete the service, and log work on the item.
- The asset history keeps a durable record of what was done and when.
Overdue maintenance appears in work lists and attention views. Prioritize safety-related service (brakes, hydraulics, PTO) before seasonal peaks.
What good looks like
The asset page shows what service is due, what work is open, and what was completed. A manager should be able to answer whether the machine is ready for the next job.
Common issues
A service job is missing. Check whether the asset has a maintenance schedule or create a manual work item.
A completed service is not in history. Add a work log with the service details and link it to the asset.
A machine is unsafe to run. Create an incident or maintenance work item, mark it urgent, and keep it visible until resolved.
