Add equipment and assets
Register tractors, implements, bins, and other equipment so work and maintenance stay asset-aware.
Assets are the machines, vehicles, and equipment your team depends on. Adding them in FarmFusion connects work items, maintenance, and usage history to the right piece of gear.
Before you start
Start with equipment your team schedules, services, or searches for often. You can add smaller tools and less-used assets later.
Add assets
- Open Assets from the main navigation.
- Choose Add asset and pick a category (tractor, sprayer, grain bin, and so on).
- Enter a display name, identifier, and any helpful notes.
- Add a photo when you can; it makes field and shop recognition much faster on mobile.
- Save. Link assets to work items and maintenance as you use them.
Start with equipment you schedule daily: primary tractors, sprayers, planters, and trucks. Add the rest over your first week.
What good looks like
Each important asset has a name the team recognizes, a category, and enough notes to avoid confusion. Add photos for equipment that field operators identify visually.
Common issues
Two assets have similar names. Add a unit number, location, or description that matches how the team talks about them.
An asset should not appear in active work. Archive assets that are sold, retired, or not in service.
Maintenance history is missing. Start logging new service work now. Add old history only when it helps current decisions.
