Getting started

Set up fields and parcels

Add land parcels, boundaries, and names so planning and work stay land-aware.

Parcels are how FarmFusion ties work, scouting, and season plans to real ground. Set them up early so Apple MapKit-powered maps, reports, and work items reference the right fields.

Before you start

Start with the blocks your team already uses by name. You can refine boundaries later when exact maps are available.

Add parcels

  1. Go to Land -> Parcels in your farm workspace.
  2. Choose Add parcel and give it a clear name (for example "North 80" or "Home quarter").
  3. Draw or import the boundary on the map when you have geometry available.
  4. Set the parcel type (field, pasture, storage, and so on) so maps and lists stay readable.
  5. Save. Repeat for each major block you operate.

Why parcels matter

  • Work items can be linked to the parcel where work happens
  • Scouting reports attach to map locations
  • Season plans roll up acres and crops by parcel

What good looks like

Each important field or operating area has a clear name, useful type, and boundary when you have one. Operators should recognize the names without needing a map legend.

Common issues

You do not have exact boundaries. Add the parcel name now and refine the map later.

A field has multiple zones. Start with the field. Add zones or more detail only when your team needs that detail for work or planning.

A work item is linked to the wrong parcel. Open the work item and update the linked parcel so history stays accurate.
