User roles
What farm owners and members can do in FarmFusion.
Roles control what people can see and change in your farm workspace. Assign the narrowest role that still lets someone do their job.
Common roles
| Role | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full farm administration, billing, team invites, and settings |
| Admin or manager | Team coordination, settings, and daily operations where enabled |
| Member or operator | Day-to-day work: parcels, assets, work items, scouting, and logs |
| Viewer | Read-only access where your plan and workspace support it |
Exact permissions can vary as FarmFusion adds modules. When in doubt, start new users as members and promote to owner only for people who manage billing and farm settings.
Changing roles
Owners can update a member's role from Team. Changes apply on the member's next request; they do not need to sign out.
Removing access
Remove a member from Team when they leave the farm or no longer need access. Their past work history can remain attached to records so the farm still understands who did what.
Do not share owner accounts. Each person should have their own login so actions are attributable in history and work logs.
Common issues
Someone cannot open a page. Check their role and whether the farm plan includes that module.
A manager needs billing access. Promote only trusted people who should manage payment and plan changes.
A former employee still appears in history. That can be normal. Remove their active access, but keep historical records intact.
